Engineering Manager

• Project planning and review.
• Selection of engineering techniques to solve problems and making sound design recommendations.
• Ensure all required QHSE training and certification is current.
• Strive to improve the Company’s HSE Management System.
• Assesses results for applicability, validity and conformance to specifications.
• Will at intervals be assigned to a significant portion of a larger project.
• The candidate will be a lead engineer on projects with functional supervision.
• Be responsible for special projects as assigned.
• Will be responsible for managing subcontractors, consultants, and engineers on projects
• Responsible for reviewing overall soundness and adherence of assignments to stated objectives
• Provide reports on project activities and accidents and incidents immediately for action



Minimum Education: First Degree

Qualifications: • Must have a BSc. or HND in Mechanical, Petroleum, Electrical, Civil or related engineering discipline
• Have sound working knowledge of principles, concepts, theories, and/or practices of applicable discipline.
• Masters degree in Engineering will be an added advantage
• Should possess a minimum of 4 years relevant experience in similar environment.
• Experience in basic project management skills
• Intermediate analytical skills
• Should possess experience in engineering drawings and interpreting both static and rotating designs
• Ability to interpreting, modifying, and approving designs like mechanical equipment, piping, pumps, turbines, compressors, vessels amongst others.
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Should have working knowledge in offshore activities such as production, maintenance, construction, procurement, well completion, mechanical installation, drilling, fluids and well optimization
• Ability to work with both expatriates and locals and manage a wide group of contractors and subcontractors
• Possess a duty of care ensuring personal safety and that of other employees
• Experience within a recognized international company will be a plus
