Establish / Set up the company rules and develop the company policies;
Provide financial expertise to develop and manage the local finance and administration team;
Manage all the companys finance matters and resources with maximum efficiency and minimum risk;
He will be in charge of the overall company accounts
Supervise and apply all group consolidation, control, accounting, risk, treasury and tax practices;
Manage HR matters including compensation and benefits, manpower planning and international mobility policies;
Have an oversight for the payroll, ensuring compliance with labour law, tax and social security regulations;
Lead in the implementation of the companys policies in accordance with Group standards;
Identify training resources for the Ghanaian workforce and promote its implementation through effective strategies;
Request the establishment of the annual plan and control its functioning and implementation
Ensure the implementation of quality, hygiene, safety and environment policies, its corresponding procedures and quality plans for the company.
Maintain an active role in identifying opportunities to improve the QHSE system and assist where its relevant and needed
Promptly reports any unsafe act or condition, environmental or health hazard, injury, illness or near miss witnessed to immediate supervisor or site in charge.
Participates in EHS awareness and training programs when required
Minimum Education: First Degree
Qualifications: Should have a bachelors degree in Business Administration, Commerce or a related field
A minimum of ten (10) years working experience in finance preferably in a unionized multinational environment
Fully qualified accountant with ACCA, ICAG or its equivalent
Knowledge of HR Resources practice and Labour Law
Excellent Interpersonal Skills with the ability to communicate effectively with personnel from all levels within and outside the organization
Computer literacy is essential as well as working knowledge of accounting software
Ability to obtain and analyse facts and precedents in making administrative decisions
Study and understand the arbitration decisions, legislation and collective bargaining
Should be able to produce accurate reports for specific deadlines and manage the companys budget
This person should come from a petroleum, oil and gas, or offshore company
